Research on the Financial Ecological Problems and Optimization of Western Rural Areas under the Rural Revitalization StrategyA Case Study of Gansu Province

  • The development of the rural economy has always been the core task in the Rural Revitalization Strategy. Rural areas of western China are faced with multiple dilemmas such as a large population base, low per capita disposable income, and development constraints, which lead to relatively slow economic growth. The financial industry, with its unique penetration and lower regional environmental requirements, has demonstrated a significant driving effect on economic development. Therefore, focusing on building a favorable financial ecological soft environment in western rural areas is not only the key to solve the problems but also a crucial sector to promote economic transformation and upgrading. Gansu Province, a typical western province in China, suffers from underlying problems such as fragile ecological environment, lagging infrastructure construction, and single industrial structure. It is of great significance to make a thorough study of the rural financial ecological issues in Gansu Province and analyse its main obstacles. Through the design of a scientific evaluation index system as well as the use of factor analysis method to assess the rural financial ecological status, initiatives of specific optimization ideas and countermeasures will be presented, which not only helps to comprehensively understand the current situation but also provides practical references for other western regions and even nationwide.
