Abstract
Convective heat transfer is one of heat transfer processes closely related with industrial, environment, animal and plant life and universe. For industrial convective heat transfer processes consumed great amount high level energy, and produced great amount carbon dioxide. Thus enhancement of convective heat transfer is of great important. The mechanical energy dissipation in convective heat transfer is carried out locally, but the convective heat transfer intensity is defined on the wall surface, thus a local parameter that can describe the local heat transfer intensity inside the flow region is in great need for corresponding local mechanical energy dissipation, which might be the base theory of convective heat transfer enhancement. This paper reviewed the available similar local parameters described the local convective heat transfer intensity and their relationship with local mechanical energy dissipation. Based on the review, a research idea of studying on the parameters of local convective heat transfer intensity and their relationship with local mechanical energy dissipation is proposed.
