Abstract: Traditional architectural murals carry rich historical information and artistic value. However, with the intensification of natural weathering and human destruction, these murals are facing severe survival challenges. This article takes the Hehuang region as an example to explore the effective management and response strategies for the restoration of traditional architectural paintings. Starting from the current protection status and diseases of traditional buildings in the Hehuang region, the management level and protection concepts was optimized on the existing basis, the problems currently faced at the technical level was summarized, and innovations in technology and management as well as the promotion of the protection concepts of traditional ancient buildings were proposed. It aims at providing theoretical basis and practical reference for the scientific protection of this precious cultural heritage, and promoting the living inheritance and sustainable development of traditional skills.
