共享经济对城市空气污染的影响来自共享电单车平台进驻的证据

The Impact of the Sharing Economy on Urban Air Pollution: Evidence from the Introduction of Shared Electric Bicycle Platforms

  • 摘要: 从共享经济视角切入,深入研究共享电单车这一新能源出行方式对城市空气污染的治理效应及其作用机制。研究发现:共享电单车进驻后,城市空气污染水平降低,且环境效益呈现逐年增强的持续特征;机制检验表明,该环保效应源自机动车出行替代引致的尾气减排,并与轨道交通接驳形成网络协同效应;异质性分析揭示,宽松的准入政策、全国性品牌、数字经济发展水平越高的城市,共享电单车对空气污染的降低作用更显著,体现了制度环境、规模经济与技术赋能的三重作用。本文丰富了共享经济环境正外部性研究的微观证据,不仅为共享电单车管理运营提供建议,也为政府优化共享电单车准入政策、品牌选择及城市交通结构转型提供实证支持。

     

    Abstract: This study approaches from the perspective of the sharing economy, systematically examining the governance effect of shared electric bicycles as a new energy travel mode on urban air pollution and its mechanisms. The research finds that after the introduction of shared electric bicycles, the level of urban air pollution decreases, and the environmental benefits exhibit a sustained enhancement year by year. Mechanism tests indicate that this environmental protection effect arises from the reduction of exhaust emissions due to the substitution of motor vehicle travel, which forms a network synergy effect with rail transit connectivity. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that relaxed entry policies can improve the emission reduction effect, national brands have better reduction effects compared to local brands, and cities with higher levels of digital economy development show more significant reduction effects, reflecting the triple role of institutional environment, economies of scale, and technological empowerment. This paper enriches the micro-evidence of externalities in the sharing economy and not only provides recommendations for the operation of shared electric bicycle brands but also offers empirical support for the government in optimizing access policies for shared electric bicycles, brand choices, and urban traffic structure transformation.
