Abstract:
Under the background of globalization, new quality productivity forces have become a key factor driving high-quality urban development.Based on the analysis of GDP development, population changes, and employment structure of 9 cities with GDP exceeding 2 trillion yuan and 17 cities with GDP exceeding 1 trillion yuan in 2023,this study focuses on 9 cities including Guangzhou, Chongqing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Ningbo, Changsha, and Hefei. This paper constructs an urban new quality productivity evaluation indicator system with 23 indicators, including new manufacturing, new services, new business formats, and comprehensive indicators. The entropy weight method is used to conduct a quantitative analysis of the panel data of 9 cities from 2013 to 2022.The evaluation results show that there is a positive correlation between the level of new quality productivity and urban development, and the development differences among cities also affect the level of new quality productivity forces from different perspectives.Countermeasure suggestions are proposed, including strengthening investment in scientific research and innovation, enhancing the cultivation of professional talents, expanding the scope of market access, and improving relevant policies and regulations. To a certain extent, this study enriches the theoretical framework for measuring the level of new quality productivity and further promotes the continuous role of new quality productivity in high-quality urban development.
